Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performance in films. The actress is popular on Canadian and American TV. Emily began acting at 12 after she had a visit with her elder sister Katie on one of Katie's film productions. Once she had discovered that acting was a interest, she started to learn how to act and auditions. The first time she was cast, she appeared in commercials, but she was not cast until being offered a role on the Canadian children's horror television show Are You Are You Scared of Darkness? One scene in which she appeared without speaking even a single word. At the age 15, she made her breakthrough after she became part of the WB series Glory Days. Even though the show was cancelled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his television show Everwood. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her among the best actors who were under twenty. Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her at number 51.
