Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, also known as Ashanti, was born on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a songwriter, singer and actor who hails from her native United States. Ashanti's talent was first discovered in her teens. She signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002.
