Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child in a family of four. Her parents, a dentist as well as a teacher recognized and encouraged her passion for acting and theatre from a young age which was more important than a desire to become a primatologist due to her passion for monkeys. The early success of her career and the rapid rise in fame made her a promising young actor. When she graduated in 1998, her studies, she was able to take part in Jeunes Premiers which is a French TV talent-scouting programme which was run by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to begin her acting profession. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church in her youth and was brought up Catholic. She has since gotten away from her Catholic upbringing. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou were intertwined. She became the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. A keen photographer, she created a show in the Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. Her photos are mostly about fame and celebrity. They also feature an assortment of portraits of herself in addition. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her role debut as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie was a global success at the box office and won awards around the globe. Amelie is the most successful French-language film in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many movies ranging that ranged from British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche of fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
