In the following years, she was in several films. The actress gained acclaim for her role in films like The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The role she played in The Theory of Everything was what earned her her first Oscar nomination. Jones was widely praised for her performance as Hawking's former wife. Jones was awarded her the British Artist of year award in the year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles.
